Brief outline of Senior Management

Mr Reg Gray successfully applied for the position of advertising manager and joined  3GL in late 1931. On his first day of duty he was placed in front of the microphone and told his duties included program presentation. He was soon appointed station manager  a position he held until retiring in 1977. He remained on the board of directors until 1980
In 1933 Mr John A McKenzie became Manager/Secretary of Geelong Broadcasters P/L and on his death in 1956(?) Mr John Morwood was appointed company Manager and Secretary of 3GL. In 1973 Mr Morwood was elected to the Board of Directors and became also General Manager of both Geelong Advertiser Pty Ltd and Geelong Broadcasters Pty Ltd (3GL)
On the death of Mr R B Cook in 1946(?), Mr E E Wilson was Chairman of directors. In 1948(?) Capt George W Jones became Chairman till he retired in 1978
Mr Alexander Ramsay Cook in 1949 was appointed deputy Chairman and Managing Director, a position he held until his death in 1969(?)
