These pages are dedicated to the story of Geelong by describing the history of its only commercial AM radio station, 3GL. It is intended to recount some of the story about the people, activities and spirit that were vital to Geelong as recorded by the progress and involvement of its voice - Radio station 3GL. It is not complete, indeed at the moment only the comments, photos and recollections of Reg Gray, who maintained an association with the station from 1932 until 1980 are shown here. But I would like to turn this into a living, changing history as more information comes to light. Naturally contributions are welcomed and any information - be it electronic, written, or anecdotal will be gratefully received. If the contribution can be be cleared for public use it will be converted to some acceptable web style and made available via this page. Statement of authorisation or origin would greatly assist.
